About the process:

In Senegal, Wolof women use strands of colorful plastic and natural fibers to weave durable mats used for prayer and floor coverings. By repurposing salvaged or discarded materials into colorful baskets and home accessories, they are able to reduce waste while preserving their traditions and techniques in a simple, practical way.
